Chapter 4-7: Predefined Fields

SELECTED VERSION

This field is set to the current contents of NEXT VERSION by the SELECT APPLICATION predefined input process. The current value of the predefined field SOURCE VERSION remains unaffected when that input process is executed. Instead, the current value of SELECTED VERSION is modified, which in turn is used to determine the initial value of SOURCE VERSION the next time a child process is invoked as detached. This predefined field can only be used by the APPX applications (application design, system administration, database management, and the runtime application).
